Ecclesiastes 3:11…God has planted eternity in the human heart…
This is something that God put on my heart today and I wanted to write about it while it is still fresh. I won’t be using many fancy colors and things, but just writing from my heart.
As I have gone through life (only 26 years of it), I have seen one thing to be true about everyone I meet. They have a longing and a desire inside of them for "something". That "something" could express itself as a desire to be loved or wanted. "Something" could seem like a longing for material objects, maybe deep friendship, or just for fulfillment from accomplishing some lifelong dream.
Whatever "something" is we all have it. We all want it filled. We all want it to be complete.
Often when we try to fill this space we end up feeling like we have more room in this hole than we first thought. The object that was supposed to fill the void wasn't big enough. The relationship wasn't fulfilling enough. The love wasn't deep enough. So, we buy more stuff, develop more surface relationships, and leave the one that we loved in pursuit of the one lover that will fill this void.
The cycle continues and continues until we are left broke, broken, and bitter. No object was good enough, no relationship deep enough, no love strong enough.
What to do now?
