So where do I go from here…

Ecclesiastes 4:10-12
10 If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. 11 Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? 12 A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.

Training vs. Trying, Accountability, and all the other words I don’t really understand… Mike tonight was complicated… what do I do now?

Watch the video that was posted, it was not one we watched tonight but one I saved for tonight’s post. I don’t think it is hard to accomplish goals when you have friends that are there to help. The reality is that in this life you need the help of other people. God even said, “It is not good for man to be alone.” We are meant to have friends, be social, and want to hang out. The hard part is developing real relationships with people, and having someone that you can be honest with and who is going to push you forward.

A true friendship is not one where you tell someone something that you did that you felt was wrong and they laugh and you two do it together next time. A true friend is one that can hear that story, not judge you, still be friends, tell you it was wrong, and be there the next time you find yourself in that jam and help you out.

The challenge this week is to take your friendships to a deeper level. (I’m not talking about dating either!) The Bible says that, “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another,” meaning that we are here to help keep one another sharp in our relationships with Jesus.

See you next week! Got a great game already lined up too!!!!
-Mike
